Chronicles of Gaia (Old)
Tiamat and the Six Arch-Dragons
Tiamat, Mother of All Dragons
Tiamat, the six-headed Queen and Mother of all Dragons, ruled over the six Arch-Dragons and lead all negotiations and interactions with the Deus when they arrived on Gaia. An incredibly powerful and intelligent being, her strength rivaled that of even the greatest of the Deus.
However, this wasn’t enough to save her from destruction, when an alliance of powerful Reborn associated with both the gods and devils descended to her hell realm at the end of the 3rd era, causing her death and releasing the Dragonborn army from her control.
The remaining Six Arch-Dragons now rule in her stead, seeking revenge and attempting to find any means of restoring Tiamat to life.

The 666 Scions
True to their word, after Tiamat the Arch-Dragons assisted the Deus in ridding the world of ancient demons, the Dragon Queen was taught the gift of life.
Together with her Arch-Dragons, Tiamat gave birth to the Scions, powerful dragons born fully formed and incapable of aging. Each of the Arch-Dragons fathered 111 such Scions, for 666 in total.
In game terms, Scions are equivalent to the highest CR dragon listed in the Monster Manual.
There is much debate about how many of these 666 Scions still exist, as while there are many tales of valiant heroes slaying individual scions, there is no authoritative account of just how many have actually been slain. This is further complicated both their propensity to hibernate for many centuries at a time, as well as their magical prowess which allows them to polymorph and at times live among the races of men in disguise.
Each Scion is capable of asexual procreation, giving birth to a seemingly random array of Dragonspawn.
Dragonspawn is an all-inclusive term for the children of Scions. These can sometimes be smaller versions of the Scions themselves, but also includes such creatures as wyverns, dragon turtles, kobolds, shock lizards, and more.
While their sire is alive, dragonspawn are only semi-autonomous, and generally work to increase the treasure hoard of their parent.
